W Mota was born in Nova Lima MG – Brazil in 1980. He graduated with a degree in Plastic Arts from Escola Guignard (Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais). He specializes in Visual Arts – Culture and Creation in Senac MG. William Mota develops his artistic production permeating the African and Afro-Brazilian cultures. He explores colors, symbols, marks of the African Culture, and the matrix of African religiousness. With expressive features, the artist searches for his representation with a basis on technique that does not uses pencils or spatulas. The creative process of the artist reflects moments of pictorial trance, where the images are created in an intuitive process.
